Manager, QA Engineering

  • Mentoring, coaching, hiring, and growth of ~18 people across both web and mobile QA engineering teams

    • Emphasis on skillset and career growth (if it aligns with company vision I suppose that’s a plus too)

    • Mix of manual and SDET

  • Primary focus in role: to grow the manual and automated testing skills of all team members, build consistency in QA testing across multiple project and feature based teams, standardize org-wide testing practices, and represent QA to all levels of product development

    • Provided onsite, full-time support to 3 primary client sites

  • Project management on deployments and rollouts of various projects - new room builds, infrastructure, device, and software upgrades

  • Provided technical training to both clients and junior staff

  • Maintained suite of test plans and checklists for accomplishing various IT tasks

Test Analyst

  • Contract position for major publishing studios as an entry level QA tester (Lucasarts / Sega)

  • Performed functional, performance, and usability tests against titles in early stage development

  • Executed tests and completed playthroughs against new builds according to predefined regression test suites

  • Supported the development and testing of games across multiple platforms and devices (eg: Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo, PC)
