Hello, world

They say, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” - but very early on I found I was pretty great at both. :)

I am deeply passionate about technology and the various ways it can change the world (and occasionally go awry).

This space is a small, casual collection of thoughts and resources I’ve found helpful in my QA adventures. Square is just the new Geocities, right?

I’ve spoken at a couple of conferences, you can check out the slides on my Portfolio page.

Or perhaps you’d like to see some of the tools, cheat sheets, books, and other resources I’ve found helpful? Peep that on my Resources page!

Otherwise, if you’d just like to get to know me a bit better - you can check out my Resume, or send me an email anytime through my Contact page.

My adventures

I’ll gladly, and gleefully, regale you with tales of my technological escapades - I’ve been tinkering since I was very young. I’ve let the “magic smoke” out of machines, shocked myself countless times (physically AND mentally), I’ve fought fires in prod, celebrated some pretty snazzy launches, and have lost who knows how many hours of sleep tweaking configs, limit testing, and chasing down some pretty slippery bugs.

But from all that I learned SO much, worked with some truly brilliant folks, built incredibly powerful teams and friendships, and loved every second of it - the chaos, the lull between projects, all of it!

Golden paths, edgy paths, forks in the code, and everything in between - here’s to the journey. :)

I believe in authenticity, which is why I choose not to hide my reptilian husk and show up as who I truly am - a philosoraptor.
